Ignorance

More than the spears
or the arrows,

More than the knives
or the swords,

More than the bullets
Or the bombs,

I fear ignorance!

For, it is ignorance that causes
The paralysis of the intellect,
and the corrosion of the conscience.

Ignorance hyper-activates the tongue
And inspires the limb into eminent dysfunction
That celebrates death and destruction.
